BusinessWeek has a great article showing that if you are employed, especially if your job might be in jeopardy, that you can begin planning to start your own business now.Â
With corporate layoffs reaching record levels, a lot of experts predict that there’ll be a surge of new entrepreneurial activity next year. What are you telling would-be entrepreneurs who have been laid off or worry that they might be soon?
The overall theme of the article is that if you ever intend to start a small business (or might be forced to due to the bad economic climate), then you can do a lot of the planning now while you are gainfully employed and still have a source of income. This may include:
